Every summer we host BOOST – a summer leadership program designed to give college juniors the opportunity to learn about public accounting.
It’s a chance for students to hone leadership skills, prepare for their first accounting internship, and following career opportunities.
This year, our one-day BOOST program will be Tuesday, July 16, 2019. It’s open to rising juniors – students entering their junior year in the fall semester – with a declared accounting major and a 3.0 GPA or higher.
If you’re interested in a 2020 winter tax internship, this program is definitely for you!
Each letter in BOOST stands for the principles and goals of our program.
Build your network
Spend an entire day getting to know our people in an informal, fun setting. You’ll interact with our HR team, tax and audit staff, partners, and more.
Our staff will be a resource to you as you continue your education and pursue future job opportunities.
Optimize your career
You’ll work closely with leaders at our firm – partners, senior managers, and department heads. At the end of the day, we hope you’ll walk away with refined leadership and professional etiquette skills. These are critical to your success in the public accounting industry.
Sharpen your skills
We’ll run through real-world tax, audit, and risk simulations. You’ll sit in on presentations designed to prepare you for a career in public accounting.
Again, our entire program is built to help you prepare for your first accounting internship. We want success for you in all your future career opportunities.
If that doesn’t convince you to apply, we’ll also have plenty of doughnuts, coffee, and catered lunch to make it worth your while.
Words from our 2018 BOOST students
“I gained much better insights into differences between tax and audit, and what it’s like working at a mid-sized firm.”
“I now have a good understanding of Beene Garter’s culture and goals. This program helped me understand exactly what it would feel like to work for Beene Garter. It also provided a great opportunity to meet many of the employees.”
“We went far more in-depth in both tax and audit than I had expected.”
Applications were due March 29, 2019. We’re no longer accepting applications for the 2019 BOOST program.
We’ll review applications and schedule interviews with candidates from April 1 to April 12, 2019.
Then, we’ll announce our 2019 BOOST participants on April 19, 2019. We hope you’ll be one of them!
