Marla Huizing

CPA, MST, CFP, CSA, Small Business Group Partner

With over 25 years of public accounting experience, Marla has assisted clients in achieving their financial goals in a wide array of industries. Her areas of expertise include individual, corporate, partnership, limited liability company, estate, gift and fiduciary taxation. Marla has also worked extensively in tax planning, consulting, financial planning, tax research and transaction analysis.

Also possessing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, Marla consults with her clients in the areas of financial planning, risk management, estate planning and retirement and employee benefits. Marla holds Series 6, 63 and 7 licenses which allow her to sell mutual funds and annuities as well as individual stocks and bonds for those clients who can benefit in the consistency of partnering their investments with tax planning. Marla holds a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) designation, allowing her to provide specialty services to the changing needs of a growing senior population.

Marla is a Calvin College graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration. She obtained her Masters Degree in Taxation (MST) from Grand Valley State University. She is involved with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, Inforum, and the Michigan Small Business Technology and Developement Center (MI-SBTDC). She has served as a board member and volunteers for many local community and professional organizations.
